- Paper Cutter
- Glue Gun
This is actually a very inexpensive project. I was excited to find the 4 x 4 inch tiles at my local Lowes for 10 cents per tile. Although Modge Podge does seal, it is good to have additional protection from liquids when making a drink coaster. I use just a small bit of polyurethane to seal to design and protect it from water damage.
Let's Get Cutting
Use your paper cutter to cut out the Monopoly Railroad Coaster Designs along the black line.
Add Some Modge Podge
Apply a thin layer of Modge Podge to the back of the Monopoly design.
Place the design on the tile and apply a thicker layer of Modge podge on top of the design.
Watch the Paint Dry
Sit the coasters aside for an hour to let the Modge Podge dry.
Seal it up
Once the Modge Podge has dried, apply a thin layer of Polyurethane across the top of the design to seal it from water. Let the Polyurethane dry for about an hour before applying the felt.
Apply the Felt
Cut out 4 x 4 inch squares of felt. Use a hot glue gun to line the edges of the coaster and apply the felt to the hot glue.
Plan a game night!
Now that your coasters are finished, the only thing left to do is plan a game night and enjoy.
