Easy Pockets with Brads:
Quick Scrapbook Pockets
I love making these simple pockets. They are ready for goodies in just a few minutes and look super cute too!
You can make your pockets any size, but for this project, I use 2 sheets of paper. For the pocket itself, I use cardstock and cut it to 4 in x 7 in. I use a thin paper for the flowered liner and cut this paper to 4 in x 1.75 in.
Fold the Cardstock
Fold the cardstock up 2 inches leaving 2 inches of the cardstock design visible.
Glue the liner
Use a glue stick to glue the thin paper to the backside of the folded pocket. You should have 0.25 inches of white showing at the top of the folded pocket.
Fold over the top of the pocket
Apply glue from a glue stick to the remaining 0.25 inch showing of the cardstock backside. Fold the cardstock over so that the white is covered with the cardstock design. Press the crease flat and hold firmly for 20 seconds while the glue dries.
Using a 1/16 inch circular hand punch, punch holes through both layers of the folded pocket. I measured 0.25 inch from the right and pocket top on each side.
Insert colorful brads into each of the two holes to complete your pocket.
Fill with Goodies!
My favorite part is filling the pocket with goodies and creating more pockets of course! Hope you enjoy.
